Get to Know Me

.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York  and Florida with more than 25 years of experience in the field. My career in mental health began in 1992 after earning a Master’s degree in Rehabilitation Counseling from St. John’s University in Staten Island, NY.

In 1997, I became a Certified Addiction Professional in Florida and went on to earn my license as a Mental Health Counselor in 1998. During this time, I had the privilege of serving as a Team Leader on the Interdisciplinary Team at Suncoast Center for Community Mental Health Inc., where I worked in the Day Treatment Mental Health program. My early work gave me valuable experience supporting individuals coping with depression, anxiety, mania, anger, grief and loss, relationship challenges, and addiction.

After returning to New York in 2001, I joined Richmond University Medical Center, where I provided both individual and group therapy for clients facing substance abuse issues.

I have had the privilege of helping individuals heal and uncover the best within themselves. I consider it an honor to be welcomed into someone’s life as a therapist. My approach is rooted in creating a safe, supportive space that fosters growth and change. By empowering clients with the tools and skills they need to build healthy relationships, strengthen self-esteem, and break old patterns, I guide them toward living more authentic and fulfilling lives.

I believe that no person is broken or in need of fixing—only rediscovered.
